| After missing the 2008 event, it was back to Heaton Park in Manchester again on Sunday 6th of September 2009, for the annual Trans-Lancs Rally, which featured a large number of buses and, trucks and classic vehicles. Unlike my last visit in Monsson like conditions in 2007, this time the weather was fine for the most of the day, and the Sun even shone for the early part of the event, though in typical Manchester fashio it did cloud over, and became quite gloomy with a few spots of rain just before the end.
Heaton Park also offers an excellent Tramway and Tram Museum, and a certain amount of time was spent riding on those and taking photographs of them, these can be found in a section of their own in my 'Tram & LRT Gallery'. Likewise, the trucks and clasic vehicles will also be placed in sections of their own in the 'Heritage' and 'Truck & Mobile Crane' Galleries in due course. |
